Industry 4.0 for Mid-Level Managers

CCSU_MxD

Model-Based Manufacturing for Technicians

About this workshop:

There is great opportunity – when thinking of the widest spectrum of manufacturing employers in CT - to benefit from looking at an increased stake in manufacturing technicians to augment and offset engineer demand. The engineering talent supply and demand issue continues, and even when engineers are more plentiful, there is benefit to having a good ratio of engineers to engineering technicians. This includes an emergent role identified by MxD and ManpowerGroup through the CT Digital Model Initiative:

The Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Technician

The MBSE Technician provides life-cycle model-based engineering support primarily via the development, testing and maintenance of digital models that enable the engineering team to complete project and program goals while maintaining single-source and standardized model quality and continuity benefits.

This one-day workshop will focus on the key technical skillsets and knowledge areas needed by MBSE Technicians in the CT Defense Manufacturing ecosystem:

  • Full life cycle model support tasks
  • Design documentation conversion
  • Modeling -Application of MBSE Tools
  • Model visualizations for decision support
  • Model integration
  • Digital design engineering fundamentals
  • Systems engineering basics
  • MBSE life cycle methodologies
  • Basic Programming
  • Basic Data Management
